Family run cafe, Thirdwave is a simple fuss free eatery/cafe that can be found at Nexus, in Bangsar South that serves up pretty awesome meal deals all round, not to mention good coffee (Expect light roast coffee here). I dropped by around 2:30pm in the afternoon to fill my empty tummy up for lunch and let's just say that in the end, I was STUFFED. You'll see why :) The design in this cafe is kept to the minimal and offers a different ambience compared to the far too common sight of the industrial/ wood-ish/ rustic themes that you see in most cafes today. The cafe itself is very spacious with brightly lit bulbs all around & beautiful paintings displayed on the wall.
Comfortable & cosy seating areas.
The Espresso Bar.
My superb Green Pasta came with a choice of Iced Lemon Tea Or Black Coffee. (RM16.90/ Additional RM2 for upgrade to milk based coffee)
This Green Pasta is by far one of the BEST pasta I've tried in terms of cafe served pastas. The garlic spinach sauce was really flavorful but not cloyingly rich as there was no cream used. I love that they incorporated minced chicken sausage meat inside as well making this a well balanced meal! The fusilli was also well cooked and easy to eat. Portion is more than enough for one person. Yummers max!

Yup, sweep my plate clean. That was how much I liked it :) We were also served a sample of their coffee(small cup on the left top of the picture, light roasted) which tasted (mind I'm no coffee expert) just nice in my opinion, not too 'kau'/heavy like dark roasted coffee. Very nice when dipped with biscotti. There is almost a slight fruitiness in the flavor.
For dessert, I tried their lemon tart. (RM10) Lemony indeed but the filling was smooth as tofu & very creamy.....so delightful with that buttery crust, enough said :) Lovely owner gave us some biscotti to try as well. Brilliant when dipped in coffee, otherwise slightly sweet on its own. Thirdwave serves an array of other cakes & desserts as well from the likes of Multiply F. & the popular Cake Jalan Tiung. This particular lemon tart however, was made in house.
Another thing that I'd like to applaud Thirdwave cafe for is their friendly & attentive service. Here are a couple of points why:
