Ahhh, I don't know about you but I personally LOVE purple lipsticks. Be it matte, glossy or cream. When worn, it can be both vampy-licious or sweet depending on the intensity of the purple of course. Here are my top 4 favourite purple-toned lipsticks from our local drugstores aka pharmacies! (Watsons, Guardian, Caring etc.) Cheap & good quality, what more can you ask for??
Family run cafe, Thirdwave is a simple fuss free eatery/cafe that can be found at Nexus, in Bangsar South that serves up pretty awesome meal deals all round, not to mention good coffee (Expect light roast coffee here). I dropped by around 2:30pm in the afternoon to fill my empty tummy up for lunch and let's just say that in the end, I was STUFFED. You'll see why :) The design in this cafe is kept to the minimal and offers a different ambience compared to the far too common sight of the industrial/ wood-ish/ rustic themes that you see in most cafes today. The cafe itself is very spacious with brightly lit bulbs all around & beautiful paintings displayed on the wall.
A hidden gem at The Club Bandar Utama, it's Roast FactorGlee! A quaint & all round rustic cafe that serves up delicious coffee, scrumptious dessert & all-day breakfast to fill up tummies! I popped by here on a sunny Saturday afternoon to try their weekend breakfast and also savor some house baked fresh scones :) But first, a look at this well designed & constructed cafe!
Yellows. Pinks. Spring! Here are a couple of my own spring 2014 compilation looks that I have been wearing for a couple of weekends. What I love about floral prints is its versatility to match different colors and it also adds an instant touch of 'girly' to your overall look :) Look No. 1 : I got this floral blazer from www.un-masqued.com! Follow them on instagram @ 'unmasqued' for special pieces like this one that is 'instagram only' exclusive. Paired it with my nude-ish pink colored basic spaghetti top from Forever 21 (I love F21 spaghetti tops because they have it in so many colors and are so versatile for different looks! Their cutting is very body hugging and also super comfortable. Sizes from XS to L) with a torn up high waisted jeans short from Bangkok. My staple nude & black heels from Charles & Keith. Look No. 2 : The highlight of this look is definitely the gorgeous pink floral skirt/with pants inside that I bought from Forever 21. They had this in black, dark blue & cream color with the same pink flower prints on. Mine is actually in dark blue(although it does appear black here) Again, super versatile! Matched it with my black F21 spaghetti top & black soft outerwear-blazer from Cotton On. Makes me feel oh-so-chic in floral! lol Look No. 3 :
This easy slip in beach floral print dress is from Zara that I purchased a while back. I love slip in tube dresses like this one, so easy when you're scratching on what to wear for a Saturday day out or even on a date night :) That is all for this mini fashion series! What's your favorite floral pieces? Comment below! xx Frisky Goat Cafe & Bakery, a relatively new joint within TTDI that is gaining quick popularity amongst the community. It's no wonder, as they are whipping up some pretty drool worthy looking dishes with a combination of beautifully decorated interior and all round soft warm lighting that greets you as you come through the entrance.
To kick off my 'Cafe Series', here is Thursdvys Cafe located in TTDI which is pronounced as 'Thursdays' cafe. I decided to drop by on a Sunday and boy was it packed. TTDI is definitely one area booming with cafes and Thursdvys is definitely emerging as a strong contender. Without further ado, pictures!!!
There is something about visiting a new cafe that thrills me like no other. To experience a new environment, the cafe culture within and ultimately......no, not the coffee but rather the cakes/ desserts that they serve.
Confession, I have not been able to consume as much(in fact any amounts of) coffee now as I could previously due to health reasons and therefore with this new cafe series that I am starting, it will be slightly different than the usual cafe reviews out there. Well, thank god for hot chocolate then :) With this new cafe series, I will be emphasizing more into the deco and uniqueness of the cafe itself. Think of it as a sort of [Cafe x Photography] thing. Food and drinks would be featured with the exception of coffee reviews (as mentioned earlier about personal health concerns), unless I have someone else with me to try them! :) Nevertheless, am looking forward to sharing this new series and spreading the love for our budding cafe culture in Malaysia! Really hope to have your support by then & do stay tune for the next post guys! Love, EV A beautiful stunning bungalow situated near KLCC serving fine French food. I came here for my 2nd year anniversary and had an absolutely wonderful time, enjoying both glorious food and ambience that the restaurant had to offer. We had the Sunday Brunch and the food was heavenly. Expensive.....but heavenly.
Ps: For their Sunday brunch, everything is refillable & cooked upon request. Think of it as a cook to order buffet, which is brilliant really. Dual tone clutch in bright fuchsia. Paired with a bright pink lip & layered gold necklaces for that extra oomph. I got this chanel inspired red sling from www.un-masqued.com, they sell an awesome variety of inspired bags & clutches at affordable prices. As seen here, I paired this with a classic black skater skirt & a white anchor bracelet. (the red & black nail combo is a lovely coincidental compliment) A quirky combination of skulls & sparrows does it for a Saturday lunch out with the girlies.
