The Dusun, a beautiful nature retreat away from all the hustle and bustle that is nestled right next to the Berembun Forest Reserve in Seremban. Driving time is approximately an hour, expect smooth roads only thing to note is the slightly difficult climb when approaching Dusun as it is situated above on the hills. This place is stunning and gives you an absolute taste of mother nature at its best. I stayed over with the other half for a night during the weekday and thoroughly enjoyed the freshest of air this place had to offer. As usual, let the pictures do the talking guys! (This is gona be a pretty picture flooded post!) :)
The Dusun has 5 main houses. We stayed at the Berembun house that is meant for only 2 person. It has direct access to one of the two infinity pools here.
The Berembun house also comes with a large private verandah to chill and enjoy the sun in the morning and night breeze. They also provide your own personal BBQ pit for grilling.
The beautiful infinity pool
Taking a dip into the cold clear waters :)
The house is also equipped with a kitchen that is sufficient with cooking utensils to whip up a decent meal. It'd be a good idea to bring your own ingredients and cook while staying here as they only serve breakfast with an optional barbecue dinner menu.
Come here and relax
Or play a game of checkers with your other half :) (Provided by the house)
Or explore The Dusun. (There are many other activities that can be done here such as jungle trekking, bird discovery walk or enjoy a massage. All by appointment basis.)
On to dinner time! We booked the Minangkabau BBQ set for 2 (RM160)
Preparing the charcoal on our private BBQ pit :)
This is what the BBQ set looks like :) You've got to grill the meats yourself so prepare them grill skills! The roasted potato and pumpkin starter was so good, soft to the bite and fragrant! I really enjoyed the mixed salad with almond flakes as well, crisp and fresh :) Don't worry, food here is prepared with care.
Working on the grill!
And then I decided to take over and well.........grilling like a boss LOL, what a view.
The Dusun's cat. Super cute, super manja!
On to Day 2!
Morning love!
Where the breakfast at yo???!!! #morningface
To the breakfast patio!
Fresh orange juice and apple slices for starter. Its not really orange juice but made of some sort of local orange (that looked like mandarin oranges?) but it had this really unique taste, delicious nevertheless! Choice of coffee or tea :)
Pretty bakul that has our breakfast in it!
Delicious fresh nasi lemak! Fragrant rice, sambal super bomb! :)
Soft chocolate sponge for dessert :)
And after breakfast, we packed up and headed back to the city:) All in all, the Dusun is definitely an awesome place to retreat back to mother nature with views that are to-die-for. The only thing I was kinda creeped out by were the insects and mosquitos that surrounded our house. Make sure to bring mosquito repellent if you are headed over, such a life safer! But personally, I would recommend to head over there with a bunch of friends and stay in a bigger house. Much more worth the money and fun :) Nevertheless I hope you guys enjoyed this post with all the pictures in it! Do drop me a comment or just say Hi! Visit www.thedusun.com.my to make your reservations and find out more about the place!
